What type of resources can you find on our site?

We source and provide the most practical, relevant, and affordable resources for practitioners and students of community development, peace-building, micro-enterprise, primary health care, and the many related aspects of "grassroots work".

We concentrate on materials that can give insight to the knowledge and the practice of fieldworkers, community workers and development practitioners world-wide. We also supply many resources designed to inform current academic or conceptual work in sociology, politics, peace studies and inter-disciplinary studies.

Finding a Resource

There are two ways to find a resource: browsing through categories, or searching by title, ISBN, author or keyword.

To browse: click on a category in the bar on the left. You’ll find the resources displayed beginning with books, CDs and videos, followed by web sites, online documents, and events. The books start with recommended and new titles, then sorted by year of publication and by title name.

The search facility allows for a much more precise targeting of titles. Enter title, author, keywords, categories or any combination in the search box. This could be narrowed down by using the Advanced Search, which allows searches by title, ISBN, publication date, category, and maximum price.

How to order

Our site uses a shopping basket system that allows you to place your order and payment details online, with perfect peace of mind, as all details are encrypted and sent over a secure connection.

Add titles to your basket, then when you have finished shopping click on "checkout". You'll be taken through the steps to confirm your order, provide shipping and billing addresses, and supply a payment method.
